Hey, I’m Laura!
I learned to sew from my mom as a teenager, but it wasn’t until I took an introductory quilting class in 2019 that I truly fell in love with the craft. My first memory quilt was for my husband, who had a stack of old Toronto Raptors T-shirts and asked if I could turn them into something special. That project sparked something in me and I was completely hooked.
There’s something incredibly meaningful about being trusted with clothing that holds stories. I love taking those cherished pieces and transforming them into quilts that are both beautiful and practical. Each shirt has an origin story and a memory tied to it. The quilts become something you can use every day while staying connected to your memories.
These days, I run my quilting business from my home studio in Hamilton, Ontario, where I live with my husband and our twin toddlers (life is full, loud, and joyful!). When I’m not quilting, you’ll likely find me baking and decorating intricate sugar cookies, watching competition reality shows (Survivor is my all-time fave), or off exploring new places with my family.
Before diving into quilting full time, I graduated from Western University, spent a magical year working at Walt Disney World, and most recently spent a decade working as a buyer for a major Canadian retailer. That background has shaped how I approach both design and customer experience—with creativity, thoughtfulness, and a serious love for detail.
Thank you for being here. I’d be honoured to help bring your memories to life in a quilt.
